general rules
- No Smoking in or around vehicles
- No Driving under the influence
- No open containers
- All passengers must use seatbelts while vehicle is in motion.
- Car seats must be used for children weighing less than 80 pounds and in accordance with car seat regulations
- No lap riding allowed.
- No Dogs over 40 pounds in weight. Please use towel or blanket under them to help prevent nail tears/scratches. They do get excited at the beach.
- No Driving in the water on the beach. Please be aware of high and low tides. High tides will catch you off guard and happen quickly. Best to park away from water’s edge.
- Drive on packed sand only. Please do not attempt to drive through a flooded beach or thick sand. You might get stuck and no one likes that on vacation.
- Please use caution on all boardwalks and use access roads to beach if you find the boardwalks are not up to code or have big drop offs onto sand. You can easily bust the bottom of Moke if you don’t use caution.
- ABSOLUTELY NO DRIVING on sidewalks, HWY 361, Park Road 22, any roads with posted speed limits greater than 35 mph, in the dunes or where not allowed by city ordinances. There are certain crossings you can use to cross highways. These will be noted in your legal waiver and posted in each vehicle. These MUST BE FOLLOWED for your safety and to prevent fines.
- These are Texas licensed vehicles. Even though they are slow moving, ALL Texas motor vehicle laws are to be followed.
- We will provide USER and CARE of the MOKE Instructions with your rental agreement after waivers are signed.

• Renter on file is responsible for the MOKE. A rental agreement and legal waiver will need to be completed by the renter for the rental reservation to be secured.
•Payment is due in FULL at time of reservation
•$250 Down Deposit/Hold due at time of pickup or will use card on file
•The credit card on file will be charged accordingly for all damages, theft, loss, or poor care of MOKE
• All Rentals subject to local Sales Tax
• $150-$275 fee if Moke is not returned with a charged battery of at least 90% for multi day rentals. This is to ensure the next renter can enjoy their full rental period.
• $50 cleaning fee if returned with excess trash, spilled drinks or abnormal amount of sand
• $150 fee for driving where not permitted or for any break in rules by renter or drivers. Second warning will result in immediate suspension with no refund and loss of deposit.
• Any towing costs due to wrongful driving, flat tires, getting stuck, or dead battery is at sole expense of renter. One spare tire is provided.
• Insurance Claims will be reported by Renter and Gulf Coast Mokes as needed.
• All moving violations and tickets received during rental period will be at the cost and responsibility of the renter on file. Please follow ALL SAFE DRIVING PRACTICES & LAWS.
• RENTER TIP: Please take photo/video of your rented MOKE at pickup AND at drop off on for your records . We will be doing the same.
