how it all started
Locals to the Flour Bluff area and North Padre Island regulars, Ruben and Kalen got married in Corpus Christi in 2016 and have a beautiful blended family of nine.
Their seven awesome children are their main focus in life.
Kalen is a retired Registered Transport NICU nurse of 21 years and has been in the direct sales industry for 12 years. Ruben is a Civil Engineer and owner of a local engineering firm, RTP.
Their visit in 2024 to Sint Maarten and Anguilla for Ruben’s 50th birthday bash lit their entrepreneurial spirit once again.
They accepted an invitation for a MOKE excursion with 14 other family members and friends to explore the beautiful sites of Anguilla.
They had four various colored four seaters and rode around with lots of smiles and laughter. It was a complete blast!
Kalen and Ruben immediately recognized how much fun the Mokes would be on their hometown coast as they have experienced many a golf cart rental at home.
They couldn’t stop thinking about it, envisioning these cute cars driving along the beaches, parked at local stores and restaurants, cruising around the town, parades, and special events.
They are thrilled to be the FIRST to offer these very unique, fun, and head-turning vehicles to the area. They pose this question, “Why ride around in an ordinary beach cart like a typical golf cart rental, when you can stand out while you cruise the coast in a Moke?!” They know Gulf Coast Mokes will help create beautiful memories for families and friends to last a lifetime, the same way these fun cars did for them in Anguilla.
